Four consequences of learning about the international early childhood field are:
1. Learn about trends in the international field of early childhood education.
2. Learn about what works and does not work in the field in other countries.
3. Learn from countries that are ahead of the United States in education.
4. Finally, create professional contacts so as to share information about early childhood education.
My goal for international awareness is to continue to try and get an international pen pal. Even though this assignment is over, I would still like to make a professional contact in which to share information with.
I too have the goal of continuing to contact an international early childhood professional with whom I can share ideas and research on early childhood education. This is in hopes that we can provide new insights to help each other. I have enjoyed reading your posts. Your commitment to your profession is made clear in your entries. I wish you nothing but the best in the future and I look forward to continuing to work with you as we both progress through our program.
ReplyDeleteJennifer, your consequences are a very similar to mine - I think it's definitely important to keep the lines of communication open with other countries so that we can all keep up with the constant changes in the field. We should all have the same goal of wanting what's best for the children of our communities. Thanks for the post!
ReplyDeleteI too will continue to try on getting an international pen pal, I want to learn how to teach my children about other cultures. Hope to see you down our educational roal.
